185 Tips & Info TIPS & INFO Variable data is when text or image on the product changes from sheet to sheet. This can include text, images, or sequential numbering (or a mix of all of them!). How to order products with variable data • Provide a mockup of the finished product. • Provide your art files matching templates provided online. • Provide a spreadsheet file (such as a CSV) that includes field headers like name, title, email, phone, etc. The spreadsheet file contains variable information required for printing on the product. For most product lines, Excel files (in CSV format) work perfectly. For variable images, include the names of the relevant image files in the spreadsheet and an image placeholder in the proof. Be sure to submit your image files along with the rest of the order. Variable Image orders require all files to be submitted and reviewed before a quote is provided.
