Our History
In 1988, our company got its start as “Labels by Carlson Craft” in a rented loading dock space with one employee and one label press.
Our first big move came in 1990 with more space in a new building and two additional label presses. We launched the FasTurn Label line with 24 hour turnaround time and became known as “Label Works.”
Continually growing, we moved again in 1992 to the building affectionately known as “Old Blue”; with more room, we expanded into shipping labels.
Year by year, our company continued to launch new products like outdoor labels and add abilities like consecutive numbering. By 2000, it was time for another move, this time into a new 55,000 square foot facility that could grow with us.
By 2007, the digital revolution in the label world has started, and we added our first HP Indigo Press; a second press followed in 2009 to allow us to print both digitally and flexographically for you.
We have continued to invest in our company; in 2011, we launched freeform™, our line of laser cut labels that allow you to order any shape or size of label without die charges. In 2012, we started offering Color Logic labels with the effect and shimmer of foil at a fraction of the cost.
