About the SAGE Rating Awards:
Each year SAGE presents industry suppliers with A and A+ rating awards based on distributor ratings collected from SAGE Online and SAGE Mobile.
This year, 1,021 suppliers received the top A+ rating, while another 432 suppliers received an A rating. A total of 36 percent of all suppliers in the SAGE database received an award this year. As part of the Power of Two relationship between SAGE and PPAI, SAGE ratings are also considered for eligibility in the industry’s annual PPAI Supplier Star Awards Competition.

Distributors can rate suppliers at any time using SAGE Online, SAGE Mobile, SAGE Web, or via a “Rate us now” link provided by suppliers.Distributors can only rate each supplier one time, but may change their ratings at any time. Rating awards are given each year based on the aggregate distributor ratings. Suppliers with an A or A+ aggregate rating are given an award.
Distributors using SAGE’s industry-leading research can make more informed decisions about suppliers by accessing suppliers’ current, real-time ratings,including peer distributor comments, as well as full award information for each supplier (including all industry awards).

Label Works Earns Certificate of Excellence at 2015 American Package Design Awards
North Mankato, Minn. – March 26, 2015 –Minnesota-based leader in wholesale label printing honored by Graphic Design USA in their packaging awards competition.
Label Works, a leader in wholesale label printing based in North Mankato, Minnesota, is pleased to announce that they have been honored by Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) in the 2015 American Package Design Awards.
For more than fifty years, GDUSA has sponsored design competitions, and the American Package Design Awards is the fastest-growing competition in this decade. This year’s competition received over 2000 entries, of which roughly 15 percent were recognized as winners.
Label Works was honored with a certificate of excellence for a series of Whiskey Bottom Candle labels printed for Octavo Designs. The three label variations included were for the Hot Tottie, Whiskey Barrel, and Cranberry Smash candle varieties, and a back label was also included.

Label Works Earns Gold Ink Award
North Mankato, Minn. –December 6, 2014 –Minnesota-based leader in wholesale label printing has been awarded a Gold Ink Award.
Label Works, a leader in wholesale label printing based in North Mankato, Minnesota, is pleased to announce that they have been honored by the Gold Ink Awards in the Labels and Flexible Packaging category under Digital Printing.
The Gold Ink Awards, hosted by Printing Impressions magazine, honors excellence in a wide variety of print-related businesses, from publishers to print buyers. For the 2014 competition, over 1,500 competitors entered their creations to be judged based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect. Recipients of this national award were recognized at the Gold Ink Awards & Hall of Fame Gala held at GRAPH EXPO 2014 in Chicago, IL.
Label Works created a beer bottle label using Color-Logic, a specialty process that allows Label Works to create metallic images on the labels they print.

July 5, 2013 – 2013 marks the 25th Anniversary of Label Works. To recognize this milestone event, Label Works has planned a variety of activities to celebrate both internally and externally throughout the coming year.
To communicate their Anniversary with channel partners, they incorporated a 25th Anniversary logo on a variety of marketing pieces including box stuffers, trade show materials, emails and print ads. In addition, a commemorative email is being sent on the 25th of each month, highlighting the history of Label Works, introducing current employees, and showcasing the fun spirit of the company. They are also randomly throwing bags of popcorn in outgoing orders for the fun of it. Label Works has popcorn in their lunchroom every Friday and wanted to share some of the fun with their channel partners!
Internally, a team of Label Works employees has been put together to organize events to celebrate the Anniversary. One event was a volunteering opportunity with Girls on the Run. Twenty five Label Works employees volunteered their time towards the event on Saturday, April 27. Also, the committee is working on putting together a commemorative cookbook that will be a compilation of employee recipes.
Lastly, a weeklong celebration was held the week of June 24-28. Some activities included Label Works trivia, a dress up day, goodie/treat days and even some label fencing.
The main event was an Open House celebration that was held on Wednesday, June 26. The Open House included tours of Label Works, refreshments and reminiscing. Over 90 people attended the Open house, including past Label Works employees and local Taylor company employees.
To cap off the Open House, current and past employees enjoyed an appreciation luncheon out on the Label Works lawn.
It was a terrific week of celebrating and they look forward to continuing the celebration throughout the coming year.
